Prior to joining Highpoint, Stephen Bates worked for Toll Brothers Apartment Living for 6 years where he served as the Director of Acquisitions and Development for the Atlanta and Nashville Metro Areas.  While with Toll Brothers, Stephen acquired seven development sites for a total of 1,835 units and a total development value of $825 million. With over 10 years of experience in the Multifamily Cconstruction and Development Industry, Stephen has been involved in the entitlement, development and construction of over 5,835 apartments throughout the Southeast.  Prior to joining Toll Brothers, Mr. Bates served as the Manager of Development at TriBridge Residential where he led new multifamily and mixed-use projects from North Carolina to Florida. Prior to that, Mr. Bates served as a Project Manager at Alliance Residential Company, where he focused on construction projects in Atlanta and Florida.

Mr. Bates holds a BA degree in Economics with an emphasis in Housing from the University of Georgia.
